I hate Ants & Mosquitos
Yap I hate those two kind of creatures. Ants can drive me crazy scrutinizing the carpet for minutes to make sure I kill all of them. And mosquitos cause small bumps on Alith face.
Why should they live here as well when I already had enough of them in Jakarta? The ants living here are those of big size and so itching when they bite. The mosquitos? Ooh dont ask, I once thought they are slim flies whatever you wanna call it. But they are damn big and so aggressive.
Calling the pest company did no good, they gave me something to kill the ants but it did not work. Anyway I will call them again just to tell them your stuff is something useless ha ha ha
This is why I miss Germany, no ants, no mosquitos, no rule-breakers in the road but me. Ha ha teu nyambung euy!

Re-defining the word “FUN”
Today is the 6th day sice we left Houston.
Despite of my lack of interest to such places which offer roller coaster or similar blood-thrilling parks, I have to confess I had real fun when we visited Disney Magic Kingdom at Disney World. But it was a different fun. I still dislike the roller coaster whatsoever and I didnot ride them. The fun I had was to see Mila and Alith laughed and enjoyed a lot the attractions, meeting Mickey Mouse and friends and also the Princesses they have seen only on the TV, dancing and singing with the characters, and many more. I think Disney really did a great job in preparing such a fun park the kids loves so much.
With such fun, I instantly forgot how tiring it was to drive from Houston, as well as how expensive the tickets were

This morning is blue
I am griefing.
An email from an old friend arrived this morning, telling me about our highschool friend who just passed away after over one year diagnosed with cancer. Long before that, I have been told that she lives in the same town – wanted badly to meet her – a girl with beauty inside and out I adore so much. But in between my really really busy live, I never took a pause and try to figure out where she lives and what happened with her life. I had no idea she was in such a serious illness. Nonetheless it doesn’t make any difference now. It just add up my "I wish I did" list.
My deepest condolences to the family of Sri Yuliawati – alumni of SMANSA Makassar 1995.

Challenge our driving stamina
We have been planning and doing some exercises to test our stamina in long distance driving. Started with a journey to Galveston, a beautiful small island (or peninsula??) – driving an hour or so to south-east – it is less than 70 miles. The second exercise, we go about 300 miles to north – visiting Dallas and Fort Worth. That was only 4 hours for one way trip, with speed range between 70 – 80 mph when I drove, and between 60 – 70 mph when Kunto took his turn. You would not wonder why he couldn’t sleep when I was on duty hehehehe
Our next target is Orlando, with a stay over in Lousiana. Houston – Orlando is about 18 hours non-stop driving, waks dunno whether we can make the return trip by driving or probably we’re gonna leave the rented car in Orlando – and return by plane ha ha.

In a dilemma – to be a working mom or a staying at home mom
As many time as I convinced myself that I have been doing the right thing, I also got a funny feeling about wanna doing thing differently.
I have been telling myself, it is just about a choice and setting priority among things we consider important in life. What is more important for a woman – a well-cared family (and kids), or a bright career with long list of achievements and awesome amount of money (your own money obviously – not your hubby’s). The second one seemingly offers more, and more convenient as well. There might be some superwomen who can get both, but apparently it is not me – I need help to take care my two little angels
Shall I forget about applying employment permit? Let us see…

Differences between SIM and Driving License
Similarity should come first, both allow you to drive anywhere you like without feeling a heart-beat as the police waves to you.
Differences mainly when you apply to get them. Last time I got my SIM (Indonesian driving license), I by-passed the theory and driving test and pay some illegal money to the police. But I am telling you, among about 100 people applied the license in the same day at the same office, none had the tests simply because there were no test at all.
Last Friday, we went to the DPS (Dept. of Public Safety) to apply for Texas driving license. On Friday we had our theory test after 3 hours queing, and today we had our driving test. We passed both tests at the first time, however I have seen people failed just because they forgot to stop and look around before crossing an uncontrolled intersection. Two fellows who took the test with us, said it’s gonna be their second or third trials. Not so easy huh!
Nonetheless, this afternoon I drove downtown to pick Mila from the school with a more secure feeling – as I already in possession of a valid license.
