Eid Mubarak!
Shalat Ied hari ini adalah salah satu yang paling seru yang pernah daku jalani. A little gloomy without my hubby but my sis-in-law made the day by joining us to spend the day. Albeit the original plan to go to masjid At-Tin, we got up late and therefore decided to switch to the nearest masjid for Eid Shalat.
The masjid is still under construction, so we got a place under a temporary canopy – very close to where the qurban animals including cows and so many goats were tied. Alith was so excited he kept mimicking the goat’s.
Not long after we finished doing shalat, one of the goat escaped and started to "aproach" his female buddy. You can imagine how difficult it was to explain to the kids what the goats were doing. As if it was not enough, two more goats succeeded to break the rope and start to chase the others… and the chaos began. We hurriedly left the spot to a safer place, Alith was crying all along and I had to carry him. Good for me that he instantly forgot his plan to take one of the goat back home.
Anyway, we headed home and enjoy the meal I had prepared the night before. Not a perfect dining, but I am thankful for the company and the blessings.
Note: My heart goes to the family of my high school friend Lely Siska Handayani – Inna liLlahi wa inna Ilaihi rojiuun.
